The use of shampoo is recommended once the baby has more developed hair; during the first months, a cleansing gel or simply water is sufficient. For a gentle transition, the shower shampoo may be continued and the specific shampoo introduced from 12 months of age. In cases where the baby has thick hair from the very first days, the shampoo may be used from birth.
